Forest Service Affirms Decision to Close Tellico ORV Area
Jan 22, 2010After reviewing the appeals, the Forest Service has affirmed the decision to close the Upper Tellico ORV Area.The Appeals Decision Officer for region 8 of the Forest Service has concurred with the Appeal Reviewing Officer and affirmed the October 14, 2009 decision to close the Upper Tellico ORV Area.
The Appeal Reviewing Officer concluded that each of the issues presented in each of the appeals was unfounded.
The decision constitutes the final administrative determination of the Department of Agriculture. The only avenue left for those who filed appeals to get the decision overturned is to file suit against the Forest Service.
